Title
Livingston Thompson at Porthmadog Harbour Station.
Livingston Thompson at Porthmadog Harbour Station. Two train sets combined. The front portion is the back end of the quarrymen's train, which was running daily by this point, but the full set only worked up on Monday, and back down on Saturday lunchtime. The shorter set seen here was split off and used on midweek trains. It comprises a pair of mk3 quarrymen's carriages, Ashbury 4-wheelers Nos 10 & 14, and a Curly Roofed Van. The main passenger portion of the train also has a mk3 quarrymen's carriage, a Small Birmingham 4-wheeler, Bowsiders, and one of the large Brown Marshalls brake vans (Van No. 4 or 5).

Taken around 1904, the locomotive still has the original boiler with the lower dome. Note the impressive collection of masts and spars in the harbour behind the station, showing the amount of sea trade at this time.
