Title
Little Giant at Duffws.
Little Giant at Duffws, 1892. The locomotive has been turned for downhill running, probably at Dinas Junction. Last year of passenger operation without vacuum brakes. The locomotive retains round smokebox and no dome cover as per its original style and has top hinged spectacle plates. The front lamp is being maintained on the buffer beam. The passenger train (unusually in the goods sidings) comprises a curly roofed van, Bowsiders Nos 17 & 18, and two Small Birmingham 4-wheelers. Gunpowder van, iron 2-ton slate waggons, and mk3 quarrymen's carriages in the background.

Votty & Bowydd Incline on the right, whilst on the skyline above the locomotive is Rhiwbach No. 2 Incline and tips from the upper mills of Votty. Also visible are the lowest Votty mill and the two lower mills for Dyffwys Quarry.
