The damaged vacuum pipe and larger buffer face (possibly an adaptation fitted to cope with ex-NWNG couplers, which were centred 2" lower than FR ones) date the scene. WHR Ashbury summer carriage No. 27 (ex-NWNG No. 13) is next to the locomotive. Britannia Foundry House on the left.
