Palmerston at Beddgelert Station, facing south towards Porthmadog. Ex-NWNG Pickering Brake Composite No. 9 next to the locomotive, no lettering on this side, dark colour, and appears 'lowered' to FR loading gauge. The second carriage is Ashbury Corridor No. 25 (note the large iron grab handles). The locomotive is fitted with Little Giants' cut down boiler (taller dome) with patched tender, missing knob in cab doorway, crudely repaired outer frames, accumulator strap fixed to smokebox, and thin tyres. This dates the scene around 1935.
