Palmerston at Penrhyn Station with a Down goods train, July 1936. Covered Goods Van No. 129 with sliding side doors rated for 4-tons tare weight 1-9-2 next to the locomotive. The driver is Tom Davies. It is probable that the van has been shunted onto the train from the flour siding visible in the foreground, which would explain why the train is stationary.
