Palmerston in lined livery.

Palmerston with lining, crest and build plate on locomotive. Even in gloomy weather, the excellent condition of the paintwork and lining is obvious, which suggests this photograph was taken between 1910 - 1915. The location is difficult to ascertain. It is listed as Tan y Bwlch although the large dry stone wall makes this unlikely. Alternative locations are the entrance to Boston Lodge, the Dinas Branch, or Wakefield Crossing.
