Princess and Russell changing trains at Beddgelert, 31 August 1926. This shows a situation where rakes of carriages travelled through from Dinas to Portmadoc and vice-versa, but where locomotives swapped at Beddgelert. Russell is departing towards Rhyd Ddu with a train of both FR and NWNG carriages. Princess, having brought these carriages from Porthmadog, is waiting for Russell to clear the station before it can run-round and return to Porthmadog with the train that Russell had hauled from Dinas. The drain cocks on Russell are open. The visible carriages are Ashbury corridor carriage No. 25 (iron grab handles) and FR Bowsider No. 17 or 18. Goods shed (with sliding doors?) on the right.
