Princess inside Boston Lodge Engine Shed, 16 June 1942. This was a Tuesday. Once the Second World War began the railway only ran on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, so the locomotive appears to be resting out of use awaiting its next turn of duty. It is commendably clean and appears to be in good condition. Note the pit board leaning against the shed wall on the left.
