Loading Palmerston at Minffordd Yard, 20 July 1974. The Jones KL 10-10 mobile crane (also known as the Paul Dukes Crane) is hoisting the locomotive onto the trailer ready for transport to Drayton in Staffordshire. A sleeper has been placed atop the smokebox to protect the saddle tank from the hoist chains. The front chains are probably hooked beneath the valve chests as it looks like the locomotive's front apron is missing. The FRCo lorry on the right is AEC Mandator reg. UYG 776F. Baldwin tractor Moelwyn on far right alongside the goods shed.
