Minffordd Exchange Sidings and Cambrian Station, Saturday 11 July 1959. The lengthy double headed passenger train is likely the Saturdays only service from Pwllheli to Snow Hill via Ruabon. It is being hauled by GWR 3200 Earl Class 4-4-0 locomotive No. 9017 ('Dukedog' Earl of Berkeley, now preserved) and a GWR 2251 Class 0-6-0 Collett Goods.

On the left, the Maenofferen Shed is still being leased by Davies Bros. The slate on the wharf would have been delivered by road and once sold would be dispatched by road and the Cambrian, note the waggons stabled in the old exchange siding.
